Hey, I’m Beth!
I am a surface pattern designer, creative, and graphic designer with a combined eight+ years of professional and volunteer experience based in the Greater Boston Area of Massachusetts, USA.
In any type of artwork I create, I am heavily influenced by my eclectic range of skills and derive great inspiration from my lifelong artistic roots. There is nothing I love more than crafting unique yet practical and aesthetically pleasing solutions to complex visual problems. The ability to merge beauty and function into one efficient design that not only serves its intended purpose by communicating a clear message but also looks good doing it, is one of the reasons why graphic and surface pattern design appeal to me so deeply.
A Little About Me
I love all things retro, funky, and vintage, especially if it is 50s or classic Volkswagen related. I have a growing collection of 8-track tapes (that I actually listen to) and I drive a standard car because it’s way more fun. I have volunteered closely with multiple local animal rescues over the years, fueled by the deep passion I have had for animals for as long as I can remember. I have always had pets and my current pets include a cat named Izzy, a cat named Josie, and the roughly 30+ snails I have in my terrarium that started from the four snails I adopted from my father’s garden named Bentley, Mercedes, DeLorean and Bug. I listen to audiobooks constantly, I love to bake and over the last year I have been working on perfecting my sourdough, and I am highly skilled in the art of crafting Spotify playlists for every mood and occasion like they are going out of style.
“Orchestral Abstraction”
In 2021/2022 I collaborated with @kitschywearableart on this necklace which featured my pattern design "Orchestral Abstraction" encased in resin. Sadly it is no longer available for purchase as Kitschy Wearable Art no longer appears to be in business, but it was such a fun side project to be a part of at the time!
